Planting Succulents

Each year our school runs a stall at our local community day and every class makes something to sell at our stall. Unfortunately, because of the uncertainty around alert levels, we did not have the time to make our items this year. However, our class went ahead and made our items later in the term and we got to keep them for ourselves. 😊

We decided to make planter pots and plant succulent clippings in them. Here are a few snaps and some stories we wrote about how we planted them.

Planting

On Monday we planted plants. First, Miss Nodder buddied us up. Then we went outside so that we wouldn't make a big mess. First, we put some soil in the pot. We had to fill the pot to half way. Then we put the plant in our pot. I wanted to carefully plant it.

Yesterday we planted succulents. We were going to give them to Molley Green. First, we painted the pots and put the soil in the pots.

Happy Easter!

We're a little bit late to the party but HAPPY EASTER! 😁🐰We hope you all had a wonderful long weekend.

Before we went off on our Easter break we got stuck into creating some Easter art. Our focus was on identifying and drawing shapes, as well as improving our scissor skills. We found it quite tricky to cut out the circles but we're very proud of the work we produced.

MOTAT Trip

Earlier this term we took a trip to MOTAT! MOTAT is the Museum of Transport and Technology located here in Auckland.

On Wednesday I went  to  MOTAT. I saw the robot face. My buddy was Xayvion.

Our MOTAT Trip

On Wednesday I went to MOTAT with my school. First, we went on the tram. I had never been on a tram before so I was very excited. Next, we went to the skeleton and the robots. After that, we went and made calls on the old phones in the telephone room.

MOTAT

Yesterday I went to MOTAT. I went there on a bus. I went with my school. First, my group went on a tram and that was my first time on a tram. I was a bit nervous. I think we went there so we could learn about new things. Next, we went to a pink building. After that, we went to a playground because there was a playground next to the pink building and we wanted to play. There was another building next to the pink building and that was the building that had robots. Lastly, my group went to the fire engine.
