Krisha's Cat Pencil Case

Kia ora bloggers!

We hope you're well, wherever you are in the world. 😊

This week Miss Nodder introduced us to Tock's Lockdown Toilet Roll Competition where we were set the challenge of designing and making something out of the materials around our house. We could make anything we wanted but it had to include at least one empty toilet roll or paper towel roll.

One super creative Hansen Class student rose to the challenge and created a cat pencil case almost entirely out of toilet rolls! Not only is it creative but it's practical too!

If you would like to help Krisha win the competition, all you need to do is open the link below and click on the big green voting button underneath Krisha's picture. Krisha, and the rest of Hansen Class, would definitely appreciate your vote. 😊

Good luck Krisha!

Another Day, Another Distance Learning Task

Kia ora bloggers!

We hope you've had a great start to the week.

With Auckland still in lockdown we're continuing to work away at our distance learning tasks. Here are some of the latest pieces of work we've sent through to Miss Nodder. We hope you enjoy reading them as much as she did. 😊

Another big thank you to our families for supporting us with our learning while we are at home.

Cooper's Creation

Happy Monday, Bloggers! 😊

We hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend and is ready for a week of learning!

As mentioned in our previous post, last week was Te Wiki o te Reo Māori (Māori Language Week). Our final task to celebrate was to read and retell the story of Maui and the Sun. We read the story to someone in our lockdown bubble, identified the main events from the story and then retold the story in our own words. We even learnt some new kupu Māori (Māori words) that we could use in our retells.

One superstar Hansen Class student went one step further with this task and made his own diorama to represent the Maui and the Sun story. How clever, creative and COOL is that?! Ka pai to mahi (good work), Cooper! 👏

Distance Learning Continues

Kia ora koutou!

Here in Auckland we're into our fourth week of lockdown. It's starting to get very hard and some of us are missing school a LOT! Fortunately, we can still communicate and learn through the wonderful world of technology! 😊

Hansen Class have been busy busy, meeting every morning through Google Meet and completing lots of distance learning tasks. Take a look at what we've been up to on the slide deck below.

A big thank you to our families for helping us with our learning while we are at home.

Happy Father's Day!

Kia ora bloggers!

Earlier this month we celebrated Father's Day! Because we're still in lockdown, and can't go out to the shops, we had to get creative with our Father's Day gifts.

Check out some of the awesome cards we made for our dads. 😊
