Cooper's Creation

Happy Monday, Bloggers! šŸ˜Š

We hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend and is ready for a week of learning!

As mentioned in our previous post, last week was Te Wiki o te Reo Māori (Māori Language Week). Our final task to celebrate was to read and retell the story of Maui and the Sun. We read the story to someone in our lockdown bubble, identified the main events from the story and then retold the story in our own words. We even learnt some new kupu Māori (Māori words) that we could use in our retells.

One superstar Hansen Class student went one step further with this task and made his own diorama to represent the Maui and the Sun story. How clever, creative and COOL is that?! Ka pai to mahi (good work), Cooper! šŸ‘

  1. Kia ora Harris Class and tino pai Cooper. I love the detail on the sun. If you look after this you could use it to make a very cool animation, either at home or back at school.

  5. Hey Cooper I was scrolling through your class blog but the fist thing I see is this and I really loved it, I love how you made it out of cardboard you are really creative. It reminds me of when I made my sun with a cardboard plate. I wonder if you used any glue. anyways next time you should probably add Maui and his brothers but I still like it exactly like that keep it up and stay safe bye!

  7. Hi Cooper I liked how you made Maui and the Sun. Its very cool to me and I liked how you made it into cardboard in our class sometimes we make stuff out of cardboard but we can't do it anymore because we are in lockdown but I hope we get out of lockdown. What's so cool about your work is that you made Maori patterns out of cardboard thats really COOL.
