Sustainable Coastlines beach clean up

Yesterday we took part in a Sustainable Coastlines beach clean up. Jody from Sustainable Coastlines came to our school and spoke to us about the amount of damage that plastic and other rubbish is doing to our wildlife and how we can help reduce this damage.

To do our bit to protect and preserve our natural environment we headed down to a local beach and collected all of the rubbish we could find. We found rubbish on the beach, on the rocks, in the bushes, and along the road and footpaths next to the beach. It made us sad that so many people chose to leave their rubbish at the beach instead of putting it in the bin or taking it home with them.

We're glad we were able to help clean up our local area and stop so much rubbish from ending up in the sea.

A big thank you to Jody and the Sustainable Coastlines team! šŸ˜Š
