Talofa lava learners!
I thought we would try something a bit different for today's distance learning writing task - instead of answering this week's 'Would you rather...' question on a Google Doc or a piece of paper, we are going to use our class blog.
Written below are the options for our 'Would you rather...' question. Once you have made your decision and thought about the reasons for why you would pick that option scroll down to the 'Post a comment' section and get writing! š
Remember to put your name at the bottom of your comment and proofread your writing BEFORE you hit the blue publish button.
Would you rather...
...not be able to talk for a whole day or not be able to move for an hour?
Choose which option you would rather and explain why. Use this writing frame:
I would rather be able to… because…
Write at least 3 reasons why you would choose this option. Click here if you need some help coming up with ideas.
I would rather not say something than have to sit still because then if i was thirsty i could go and get a drink. I could use notes to talk and i could have a stretch and do cartwheels.

Hi Eva,
DeleteI'm so pleased you took on the challenge of writing a blog comment for today's distance learning task! Unfortunately, we haven't been able to do too much blogging this year but this is good practise. :)
You've come up with some great reasons for why you would prefer not being able to talk as opposed to not being able to move. I think it would be really difficult not to be able to speak for an entire day but your idea about using notes to communicate is brilliant! Good thinking! :)
Remember to proofread your writing once you have finished - I can see a couple of 'I's that should be capitalised.
Keep up the great work, Eva.
Bye for now,
Miss Nodder

ReplyDeleteI would rather not talk so I can concentrate on my work. Not talking will improve my understanding when talking to people as I will only be able to listen and observe. I would rather listen and not talk so I don't annoy people.
I would rather not be able to talk for a whole day because I can focus on my daily tasks, I can stop annoying people by talking too much and l can do some exercises.

Hi Andrick,
DeleteI'm so pleased that you had a go at writing a comment on our class blog. Well done! :)
You've shared some thoughtful reasons as to why you have chosen this option. I like how you've thought about how it could benefit your learning. :)
I live with six other people so I think I would find it really hard not to speak for a whole day.
Keep up the great work, Andrick. I can't wait to read your next piece of writing.
Bye for now,
Miss Nodder

ReplyDeleteI would rather not talk all day because I talk too much. I would rather not talk all day because I can't concentrate on my work and if I can't talk I can learn how to use sign language better. I would even rather not talk because I don't snore and I can just go to sleep.
